December Wedding

Back in December my friend Kelsey (you'll remember her from a few blogs ago) who's also a photographer called me up and asked me if I wanted to help shoot her very first wedding with her the next day!  I decided to give it a go, rented some extra equipment last minute and loaded up the minolta with some film.  The afternoon was very relaxed, not to mention the couple who were both so easy to be around, and finished up the evening with a lovely dinner at Canoe Restaurant in Vinings.

28th of Dec.

Yesterday a fellow photographer friend Joey and I got together and decided to hit the streets of Atlanta.  While I normally shoot digital, I thought I'd whip out the awesome Minolta XE-7 for a change - just to see what would happen.  Though I kinda ended up using my entire roll within an hour and picking up some cool new records along the way.

Right, so. 

About two (ish?) weeks ago Kelsey and her husband and I got together for a quick shoot, and pfft.  These guys.  They were amazing.  Literally.  They were the prime example of how amazing and simple it is to just let people be themselves right in front of the camera; one second they're having a conversation and being all cuddly and cute, and the next they're making funny faces and jumping around on a trampoline in their own backyard.  

And it was great for me, because I didn't have to tell them to do one thing - except to just be, of course.

 

Yes, we climbed up to the roof.  For some reason I always [unintentionally] end up facing my fear of heights on shoots…
